If you are chasing big dogtooth tuna amongst coral reefs, known for being the dirtiest and strongest fighting of all fish species having a wire shooting line can greatly help land you that fish of a lifetime.

Stainless wire is also great in shark infested waters. Powerful guns can string fish on the shooting line. If sharks start biting your catch on the stainless shooting line they will not cut it and cause the loss of the spear shaft.

Stainless wire is the strongest rigging for your shooting line against abrasion against razor sharp coral and shark teeth.

Nylon coated wire will greatly help going around tight curves around the speargun like the line release and around the muzzle and over the spear shaft thanks to its greater flexibility of the nylon coating and also minimise kinking compared to naked stainless wire.

With nylon coated wire we strongly recommend to replace the shooting line on your gun straight away if damage to the nylon is visible. Replacement is also recommended after 6 months of storage even if looks fine to avoid potential failure as sea water can get trapped inside it and slowly start the rusting from the inside.

Black Nylon coated wire: 2MM outer diameter including the nylon sleeve / 1.6MM inner 316 stainless core / 170 Kg-374Lb breaking strain.

Blue Nylon coated wire: 2.1MM outer diameter including the nylon sleeve / 1.6MM inner 316 stainless core / 170 Kg-374Lb breaking strain.

We recommend double crimping next to each other using our  1.9MM crimps.
