Mannysub x Hunt Technology Universal Slip Tip

This brand-new design, exclusive to Mannysub and developed in conjunction with Hunt Technology, brings you the best of both worlds.

Previously, divers had to purchase a dedicated slip tip for Dyneema and a separate slip tip for stainless steel cable. Now, one slip tip does it all.

This innovative slip tip can be rigged with either Dyneema or stainless steel cable. It is available unrigged or pre-rigged with either:

• 2mm Dyneema rated to 500kg, double-spliced all the way to the knot
• 2.5mm stainless steel cable rated to 340kg

Universal Rigging System

This has been achieved by increasing the overall diameter of the slip tip point from 9mm to 10mm and machining a polished slot capable of accommodating either:

• Double-spliced Dyneema rigging
• A single 18mm crimp for 2.5mm stainless steel cable

The slot is deep enough to allow either two short crimps or one long crimp to sit neatly within the body of the slip tip, while preserving structural integrity and maintaining an extremely low profile. This streamlined design preserves the slip tip’s hydrodynamic efficiency and helps improve penetration on large, hard-to-penetrate fish.

The unrigged slip tip is supplied with:

• Slip tip point
• Screw-on base
• Stainless steel hex key
• 5/16″ (8mm ID) slide ring

No Dyneema or stainless steel cable is included with the unrigged version.

Designed for Demanding Conditions

Divers who hunt in shark-infested waters know that a stainless steel cable slip tip is often essential. However, stainless steel cable can deform relatively quickly after fighting one or two large fish due to the material’s limited memory, often requiring replacement.

Dedicated replacement cable assemblies can be expensive and difficult to source, particularly in remote locations. With this slip tip, you can easily replace the cable yourself using 2.5mm stainless steel cable, the correct crimps, and suitable crimping pliers, saving both time and money.

A deformed cable can negatively affect spear shaft trajectory and reduce shaft speed, resulting in decreased accuracy and overall performance.

Hardened 17-4PH Stainless Steel Construction

Manufactured from hardened 17-4PH stainless steel, making the slip tip significantly stronger than untreated stainless steel alternatives. This greatly reduces the likelihood of the point or base bending or breaking in the event of impact with the reef or seabed.

Razor-Sharp Tri-Cut Tip

Features an extremely sharp tri-cut tip with syringe-style penetration grooves designed to maximise penetration and holding power.

Heavy-Duty Dyneema Rigging

Supplied with 2mm, 12-strand, 100% pure Dyneema that is double-spliced all the way to the knot, creating a total cross-sectional thickness of 4mm and delivering an impressive breaking strain of 1,000kg (2,200lb).

CNC-Machined Hexagonal Base

Precision CNC-machined hexagonal base supplied with a world-first stainless steel installation key, allowing easy installation and removal of the slip tip base.

Self-Centring Base System

When used with Mannysub threaded shafts, the self-centring base system ensures the slip tip is perfectly aligned with the shaft thread. This significantly improves accuracy, particularly on long-range shots.
