The new Mannysub double roller gun allows extremely powerful setups with very low recoil and ease of use.
Product Description
After more than three years of research and development, Mannysub Spearfishing is excited to launch for 2019 the all new inline double roller speargun .
This blue water speargun is light weight, slim profile, functional, solidly constructed, accurate, very powerful but most importantly a simple design that makes it easy to use and load. The low recoil allows you to shoot the gun one handed without the need to stiffen up the wrist before the shot.
The highlight of the new Mannysub double roller gun is the new muzzle design.
The revolutionary offset inline double roller muzzle brings new features never seen before on a production double roller gun. This double roller muzzle design is the smallest and lightest in its class.
It allows the rubbers to hug the barrel in a tight and circular way to achieve a very low profile fit. This drastically reduces drag and bulk compared to any other side by side or partly offset double roller designs currently available. This makes this blue water speargun very manoeuvrable especially when diving deep, hunting in strong current, rough conditions or with fast moving fish.
Thanks to the slim muzzle makes it the neatest low profile double roller rail speargun that you will come across. The speargun is also very light making it ideal to transport on planes. The 120cm model ready to shoot weights only 2.2 Kg / 4.8 LB. The attention to detail and finish needs to be seen to be appreciated, no shortcuts on quality were taken on any of the components used.
The new Mannysub double roller gun allows extremely powerful setups with very low recoil. With 2x14mm rubbers it will launch an 8mm shaft at exceptionally high velocity. With 2x15mm small ID or 2 x16mm progressive rubbers, it will drive an 8.5mm shaft at very high speed on spearguns ranging from 100 to 130 cm. A 7.5mm spear shaft can also be used with reduced pre tension on 14mm rubbers. These setups will satisfy the most demanding spearos.
This new design is best used for hunting large pelagics like Tuna, Bill fish, Wahoo, Cobia, Kingfish, Mackerel in open water or any heavily-armoured scaled reef fish out of range.
The full-size lightweight 2mm carbon fibre rollers brackets will protect the rollers from side impacts. These can also be turned inside out to swap between glossy carbon finish or matte carbon finish to match glossy or matte carbon barrels.
The new double roller muzzle features a built-in anchor point for a bungee line as well as a generous 3.2 mm reel-line guide, along with an easy and fast left or right wings loading system.
Mannysub double roller speargun specifications:
Shaft: 8mm harden spring stainless with 5 shark fins with double offset floppers. One of the shark fins is placed in the middle of the shaft to help during the loading process. Thanks to this feature, makes this roller speargun very versatile. These shafts are factory certified to be straight. These are one of the finest shafts currently in the market with an amazing finish and high attention to detail.
Barrel: Foam filled, 2mm thick 30mm OD carbon fibre with build in track for maximum stiffness and lightweight, available in several custom colours.
Handle:The new glass filled nylon handle comes with a thick white silicon grip, a silicon loading butt and an ergonomic removable right hand grip offering a much more comfortable grip compared to a generic grip. The right thumb rest can be easily removed via a screw for left handed people. The handle comes with the latest and best mechanism currently in the market, a reverse gold finished stainless double roll trigger mechanism. This design allows for very smooth firing whether it’s one rubber or five rubbers, the trigger pressure required remains the same to release the shaft. Also the trigger travel is very sensitive with no long delays before release of the shaft. The reverse trigger gives the rubbers an extra 5cm stretch for extra power. The stainless golden cassette offers the option of placing the line release left or right. The white handle grip makes it easier to locate it underwater.
Bearings: The acetal/glass roller bearings are light-weight and low-friction for excellent power transfer. Made from acetal, with encapsulated glass balls to stop sand and salt-water damage, these bearings are virtually maintenance free. They will ensure many years of trouble-free use.
The ceramic bearing option will make it a bit easier to load while adding a bit of extra power, smoothness and reliability. We are so confident in these bearings that we offer a LIFE TIME WARRANTY.
Rubbers: We offer different blends and colours. Progressive rubbers are marginally easier to load and bit smoother. The reactive rubbers are more snappy adding bit more power and marginally more recoil. Both options give great results on our double roller spearguns.
Shooting line: Double wrap of Mannysub 1.7mm / 430kg heavy duty stiff dyneema shooting line. This line has excellent abrasion resistant qualities and incredible durability
A reel is available to suit the handle.
